The Aero Club Bar
The Aero Club has been a favorite of locals for many years. The wall of liquor has over 800 types of whiskeys and 100 different vodkas. The bar has been open since 1940 and has once been a popular hangout for pilots, cops, and truckers, but now is open for anyone that can get past the colorful, tattered decor.
SideCar
Sidecar is a hip bar with great drinks a great atmosphere. If you want a good cocktail or are just bored, come drink and play some games. Locals love it.
Noble Experiment
This unique bar only seats 32 people and serves mind-blowing cocktails. You won’t be getting in unless you find the secret door.
Polite Provisions
Polite Provisions named themselves the “manufactures of local tonics, elixirs and cures” and they live up to it. The mix some of the most creative and delicious cocktails in the city.
The Brew Project
This bar is devoted to serving the best craft beers in San Diego. They have 24 rotating taps and it has all exclusively been brewed in America’s Finest City. If you’re running low on time, they have an on-site bottle shop, where you can pick up something to make your own happy hour.
Vin De Syrah Spirit & Wine Parlor
This is one of the more trendier nightlife bars. The decor is unlike what you will see in other bars, and the staff will do all they can to provide you with a good service. You can also come just for wine tasting, which is an amazing experience.
Hamilton’s Tavern
Another local favorite is Hamilton’s Tavern. People come for the wide selection of bottled beer (over 200 offerings) and the 28 draft selections that include a great array of Belgian ales and US microbrews.
Small Bar
Yes it’s called the small bar, but it is mighty! There’s a big selection of craft brew, a full bar with classic and signature cocktails and food that you’d come back for. The vibe is fun and it’s a crowd favorite.
The Nolen
This is a hotel rooftop bar that has skyline views, lounge seating, and a great ambiance. People in San Diego love drinking on a patio or a rooftop, and the Nolan has both. You can also catch some great deals during happy hour and on their dealer’s choice cocktails.
Tornado
All those who have been here will suggest it to everyone they know. The food is great and so is the craft beer selection. The staff is friendly and always have great recommendations.
